It was a brutally hot day in Irving, TX when the Summertime 2023 Tour rolled into town on July 23rd.

The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory was host to a red-hot lineup of live music; The Movement, Atmosphere, Slightly Stoopid and Sublime with Rome were prepared to show DFW one hell of a performance.

The Movement was first up to bat, getting the crowd pumped and ready for the rest of the show. Joshua Swain sang his heart out to a very receiving crowd as the band rocked out for a quick, but intense, thirty-minute set. I could have gone for another half hour of them myself, thirty minutes was not enough! They hit all the favorites (including mine, “Always With Me”) and the crowd sang back every song on the setlist at high volumes.

Luckily, the sun hadn't dropped enough to find its way to the stage under the amphitheater’s rooftop, sparing the boys from its blinding glare. The fine folks that braved the venue’s lawn area were troopers, keeping cool and creating shade for themselves anyway possible.

Their set sounded amazing as usual, with no signs of technical difficulties whatsoever and a flawless performance to match. After thanking the crowd, the band gathered their gear and made way for Atmosphere to let loose on Dallas. Bravo, gentleman!
