Summer is in full swing, and what’s better than throwing your feet up and turning on your favorite reggae songs? Legendary reggae band Sublime’s music catalog is so deep that I recently found myself grooving to their unique reggae rock sound all afternoon long. Here are 5 Sublime songs perfect for summer. So, turn these up, and let the relaxation set in!

For those not lucky enough to catch a copy of one of the most bootlegged Sublime shows (known up until now as Memories), the good folks behind Surfdog Records decided to officially release the recording as $5 At The Door (Live at Tressel Tavern, 1994) on April 21, 2023. 

Jam out to Roots of Creation and Mighty Mystic’s “Roots of Creation” Acoustic Mix. I always vibe with Roots of Creation and their sweet jam style reggae music.

Time to get excited for Sublime’s “$5 At The Door (Live At Tressel Tavern, 1994)” album release! The album is due out April 21st via Surfdog Records, and will feature 26 restored and mastered tracks.

O! Jupiter’s debut album, “Illusions of a Cloud” is refreshing, dreamy and good vibe-filled! Although the Chicago-based band is not reggae per se, it’s super cool that they are inspired by the sound, flow and lyrics of reggae artists like Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, and Sublime.

Chicago-based band, O! Jupiter has dropped a straight jam titled “Wasted Time”. The talented musicians released the feel good single ahead of their debut album, which is due out January 13, 2023. The song has so many good vibes, and I’m especially digging the band’s on point vocals, lyrics and the irie guitar riffs.

Ventura, California’s Overgrown (aka Daniel Alvarez) blends reggae and punk rock in the jamming new single, “I Don’t Mind”. I’m absolutely loving this laid back tune, and especially appreciate Overgrown’s talented guitar showcased throughout the song and the clever lyrics. The hook is especially catchy and Overgrown is able to highlight his on point vocals - both singing and hip flow wise.
