Mortimer’s debut album, From Within, is an intimate display and introduction to the essence of Mortimer. He unapologetically shares his deep musings, using his music to express his personal philosophy on life and how to be. From Within offers insight into Mortimer not only as an artist showcasing his diversity and talent but also as a compassionate human, aware of the issues we face as individual beings and as a collective entity.

I’ve been waiting on this one. Mortimer has been one of the strongest, young artists for a while, and he has finally dropped his debut full length album From Within! Expect a full review to come, but for now check out the lead track on the album “In My Time” featuring the legendary Damian Marley.

Mortimer reflects on race and suffering with “Bruises” Ft. Kabaka Pyramid & Lila Iké. In a post Mortimer says "Blood isn’t skin color, race or status. When we bleed, we all bleed red. My new single “Bruises” Ft. Kabaka Pyramid and Lila Iké speaks to the pain and suffering we endure as a people, because somewhere along the line, some of us held an idea of superiority to another human being."

Mortimer inspires us to not stray from emotions in “Not A Day Goes By”. The Jamaican singer-songwriter’s inspiring new single, released by Overstand Entertainment and Easy Star Records, touches on the topic of mental health, and celebrates our right to feel fully versus pushing emotions to the side.

“Stay True” highlights Khalia’s growth and amazing voice. The seven track EP released by Ineffable Records blends reggae, pop and R&B and is an all around amazing vibe. Big things are ahead for the Jamaican singer - no doubt!

Today’s Merch March feature is Mortimer’s 2019 debut EP “Fight the Fight”. Released via Overstand Records and Easy Star Records, the 6-track EP brings a soulful reggae that shows a real maturity for such a young artist. Head over to The Shop to see this classic vinyl.

Protoje has dropped the lineup for Jamaica’s “The Lost In Time Festival” and it’s amazing! The festival will take place on February 25 in Kingston, and features artists including Protoje, Lila Iké, Jesse Royal, Mortimer, and Samory I.
