Stick Figure’s 2022 “Wisdom” album was one of my favorite reggae albums of the year, and it’s so exciting to see that the reggae rockers have dropped tour dates for the “Wisdom Tour” featuring Pepper and The Elovaters! These shows are going to be so chill and fun!

2022 was a major year for Kabaka Pyramid and his star power rose significantly through countlesss features, a national U.S. tour and a GRAMMY nomination for “The Kalling”, which had Pyramid team up with Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.

Slow down and vibe to “Lovely” by Analea Brown off the “Lovers Lake Riddim” album. Analea has one of the most amazing voices in reggae music today and you’ll totally feel this gorgeous love song!

Green Lion Crew’s star-studded “Riddim Full of Culture” is an impressive collection of top notch tracks featuring many of reggae’s brightest stars! The album has a mix of solo tracks along with riddims where two artists will put their unique spins creating separate songs. Green Lion Crew made up of Zeke Stern and Dana Knowles definitely brought production heat and made me a big fan of their work!

One Culture is an amazing Virginia Beach band bringing together the best of reggae, rock and dub. The band’s new album “Forward, Always” is inspiring in so many ways and I especially love the band’s thoughtful lyrics that transcend emotions and their impressive guitar playing throughout the record.

I’ve been listening to Iration for years and it’s inspiring to follow the band’s continued rise and consistent ability to release reggae, rock and pop blended music that brings fans an amazing sense of zen and happiness. The band’s new live album, “Backyard Sessions: Malibu Edition” shows off Iration’s togetherness, incredible songwriting and brings new life into fan favorite songs.

SunDub proves they are one of reggae’s rising bands in the new album, “Spirits Eat Music”. Take the title track as an example. You’re immediately brought in by the horns, smooth reggae guitar and vocal star power of Joanna Teters. To me, the track is a reminder that we are surrounded by support systems and to keep an open mind and heart to the love that comes our way, especially in the form of music!

“The Kalling” is Kabaka Pyramid’s vibing new album, which was produced by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and cements Pyramid as one of reggae’s new stars. Pyramid finds his artistic groove in “The Kalling” and his vocals are so on point!

Jamaica’s Tanya Stephens’ new album, “Some Kinda Madness” is absolutely brilliant and highlights her soulful lyrics and amazing voice. Take “Be Who We Be” the album’s first track. The song has a simple acoustic guitar and Tanya’s voice accompanies the guitar so nicely while sharing a message of belief in ourselves. It’s a reoccurring theme heard across the album highlighting the importance of trust and love.

Britain’s Tippa Irie is an incredibly talented singer, songwriter and DJ and I love the contemplation of his roots in the new album, “I’m An African” released by TIM Records. Tippa has been creating music for four decades and his latest album showcases his creativity, lyrics and talent as a singer.
