Reggae rockers, Rebelution today released their seventh studio album, In the Moment and the band shines so bright. We have been huge Rebelution fans for over a decade and the day Rebelution releases a new album is always one of our favorites! In the Moment features Rebelution’s iconic reggae-rock sound with beautiful reggae music, lyrics, and production.

The album was jointly released by Rebelution’s 87 Music Label and Easy Star Records. According to a press release received by Dailyreggae.com, “Operating with a hub and spoke model centered around touring guitarist Kyle Ahern, who took the lead producing the collection and fleshing out many of its arrangements, the group pieced together tracks one layer at a time, carefully crafting each song from the ground up with a wide variety of electronic and analog sounds. In addition to all their collaborative work, each member of the band teamed up directly with Ahern to quarterback particular tunes throughout the process, putting their personal stamp on the ever-evolving Rebelution sound.”

It’s super cool to hear about Kyle’s influence on the band since he won Rebelution’s Jam Contest.

Some of our favorite songs on the album are Old School Feeling, To Be Younger, Satisfied, and Initials. Artists featured on the album include Kabaka Pyramid, Busy Signal, Durand Jones, and Keznamdi.

Support Rebelution by purchasing the album, and catch them on their Good Vibes Summer Tour this summer kicking off August 5. The band’s headline tour will feature Steel Pulse, The Green, Keznamdi, and DJ Mackle.

Initials is the Daily Reggae Song of the Day.
