Rising reggae musician, Dylan Keawe showcases the journey of love and growth in the new album, All For Love, which will be released this evening! Dailyreggae.com caught up with Dylan to learn more about his artistic journey and inspiration for creating All For Love. Dylan beautifully connects reggae and soul music, and we are so pumped to listen to the full album!
Tell us about your journey in music, Dylan!
I am so inspired by the experience of learning and growing through the journey life takes us through. I wanted this album to reflect upon the different stages of that journey towards learning to love ourselves and in turn learning to love others properly. I am someone who has struggled with their own self-image for most of my life and to be able to feel comfortable in your own skin is such a blessing that I always want to encourage everyone to keep working towards. It’s a reminder not to be too hard on ourselves, but to simply keep learning and striving to be better than the day before.
What were some of your inspirations in creating All For Love?
‘All For Love’ is 12 songs that showcase the journey of learning to love yourself and the experience of accepting the good days with the bad, but always striving to continue growing and becoming a better version of yourself. In doing this we can learn to properly love others free of judgment, with an open heart, always willing to be wrong in order to learn a better way.
Join us and turn up this new album all weekend! And while you’re at it, check out Dylan’s 2020 self-titled EP, which we were jamming today, and you’ll totally dig!
