Bumpin Uglies prove once again they are punk rock meets reggae heavy hitters in “Lyrics Over Everything”. Bumpin Uglies are amongst the best bands in reggae rock today and I applaud them for this innovative album. Appreciate this album, turn it up loud and know that the band is just getting started with so many powerful songs ahead. Lyrics over everything!

Bumpin Uglies are hitting the road with Tunnel Vision, Joey Harkum and Dubbest in the “Lyrics Over Everything Tour”. The nation wide fall tour kicks off in September and runs through November.

Congratulations to Ballyhoo! for being named the 2023 Daily Reggae “Reggae Rock Album of the Year”! Shellshock tallies up fourteen explosive tracks, aimed straight at your face with a lit fuse. 

Pacific Dub sets “Smell The Roses Tour” dates ft. Dale and the Zdubs. The nationwide tour kicks off in March and runs through early April and has Pacific Dub, the Southern California reggae rockers, teaming with the up-and-coming D.C. reggae meets punk rock band, Dale and the Zdubs.

The Expendables brought the Pleasure Point Tour on a four-stop stretch through the Lone Star State, with friends Bumpin Uglies and Claire Wright. The first stop landed them in Dallas, Texas and Daily Reggae was there to cheer them on and capture some moments from the show on a beautiful Wednesday evening at the Granada Theater.

What does your teenage emo pop punk playlist have in common with reggae music? Absolutely nothing … until now! The extremely talented vocalist and lead guitarist of Iya Terra, Nathan Aurora, has created a project and successfully bridged the gap, composing a compilation of some of your favorite songs from a distant past performed by a new community of artists that put their own reggae twist to each of them.

Album Review: Bumpin Uglies strips it all off with “Underdog: The Acoustic Sessions”, a carefully curated collection of BU past favorites plucked from albums across its discography, supplemented by a handful of new recordings to get lost in for the first time.

Slow down and sing along to Bumpin Uglies “Spinning Plates”. This is such a rad song and another example of the band’s frontman Brandon Hardesty putting out some of the most thoughtful and all around fun music in the reggae rock scene.

“All My Life” by Joey Harkum is an inspiring reminder to give it your all. I’m super impressed by Harkum’s thoughtful lyrics, vocal delivery and the song’s layers.

Rock dream team, Callisto has formed made up of shredders from bands like Ballyhoo! and Bumpin Uglies. The band dropped its first single, “This Is Awkward” today and plans to drop a full album in April. Callisto is expanding from its reggae roots by infusing punk and grunge into a new sound that we’re excited to hear more of this year!

Kyle Smith heads into rocking Winter and Spring shows with Iya Terra, The Movement and Bumpin Uglies. It’s been so fun watching Smith’s rise over the last few years. He’s playing huge shows from Cali Vibes to Cali Roots, and his hard work and hustle playing shows around the country year round is earning him a well deserved following.

Florida Groves 2023 has an amazing lineup including Thievery Corporation, Protoje, Inner Circle, Collie Buddz, and Sierra Lane. The Orlando-based music festival produced by Dab Day Productions will be held April 15th and April 16th and will certainly bring so many good vibes!

Bumpin Uglies stretch their legs in their single “Everything Changes” featuring The Elovaters. True to their DMV roots, the song revolves around catchy pop-punk chorus, but they lean into the album title (Mid-Atlantic Dub) bringing in dub elements such as big echoing hits and an absolutely driving baseline.

“Mid-Atlantic Dub” is the jamming new Bumpin Uglies album and I’d have to say it’s my favorite album from the band yet! It takes years for a band to find its sound and perfect it, and “Mid-Atlantic Dub” highlights Bump Uglies grooving sweet spot blending reggae, rock, and pop music.

Tropidelic’s “Sleeping Giant Tour” kicks off today in Aspen, Colorado! The nationwide tour is an awesome opportunity to see the rising reggae rockers. Michael Franti & Spearhead and Kash’d Out will perform on certain tour dates as well. These are going to be epic shows!

The Movement’s No Worry Summer Tour 2022 will be rad and The Hip Abduction, The Expanders, Bumpin Uglies, and Little Stranger are joining on select dates! What song do you want to hear the most? The band’s new single No Worry would be so cool to see live, and one of our favorite songs is Habit 2016 featuring Collie Buddz and Bobby Hustle!

For most fans of reggae music, the genre is what helps us get through a bad day alright, a normal day with happiness, and a great day with the utmost joy. In the Bumpin Uglies new single, “Make It Through The Day”, released by Ineffable Records, singer Brandon Hardesty touches on the little things throughout his day that help make it a good one. It's small bits of love and silver linings that make life beautiful, and Brandon describes this wonderfully and in a way that brings us into his world.

We are absolutely loving the Bumpin Uglies new single, Slow Burn, featuring SOJA’s Jacob Hemphill. The song released by Ineffable Records and produced by Johnny Cosmic highlights a beautiful message and has such a cool reggae-rock sound.
