Royal Blu, The Autos and Roe Summerz spotlight the issue of gun violence in “Artillery”. The powerful and timely single was released by Easy Star Records and positions Blu as an up-and-coming thought leader for the Kingston community. The lyrics tell a visual and inspiring story sparking a call to action.

In a release, Blu said, “The state of Jamaica and Kingston is very dark right now. I feel as if there isn’t enough commentary on what we’re singing about.”

Blue added, “The government needs to attack [gun violence] at the root,” Blu says. “Police play a huge rolein making guns the driving factor in Jamaica. Everybody has a gun and it makes people feel powerful.”
