Photo Recap: Stoopidheads get stoopid-loud in Dallas!

Photo Recap by Jeremy Morgan of Highly Decent Photography. This is our third post from the Dallas stop of the Summertime 2023 Tour featuring Slightly Stoopid and Sublime with Rome. Check out the galleries of openers The Movement and Atmosphere.

It’s hot in Texas, but that doesn’t stop the music of the Summertime 2023 Tour! The Movement opened up the show with a bang before Atmosphere wove lyrical blankets to a welcoming crowd at the Toyota Music Factory in Dallas on a scorching hot afternoon. The co-headlining bands of the tour were alternating each stop, and this evening, Sublime With Rome drew the late spot so Slightly Stoopid was up next!

The smoking skulls inflated on each side of the stage as the crowd generated some noise to show support for what was about to happen on stage. Based out of Ocean Beach, Kyle, Miles and the crew of Slightly Stoopid soon appeared to a standing ovation from the audience. Their set was still during the daylight in an open amphitheater, so the light show was not as impressive as it usually is, but you could tell there was a lot going on.

The crowd was packed and louder than ever as Kyle Mcdonald stood on the monitors and got everyone singing at the top of their lungs. There is always such a huge vibe at these shows; reggae music brings some awesome people together! The music went on for what seemed like over an hour, giving everyone a healthy dose of entertainment.

They were visited on stage by Chali 2na and Rome Ramirez during their impressive set, with a surprise spot by a high energy Beastie Boys tribute act, kicking the party into high gear and keeping Dallas on their feet and hyped up for the closer. The sun was setting as they signed off for the night, cooling it off a bit for the legends coming up next!
