Daily Reggae Album Review: The creativity, flow and honest reflection of Inna Vision are on full display in “Self Talk”
Hawaii’s Inna Vision always pushes himself as an artist and when you listen to his deep music catalog it’s so fun hearing his growth as a lyricist and vocalist. All of Inna Vision’s hard work is on full display in “Self Talk” and it’s my favorite of his reggae meets hip hop albums released to date.
One of my favorite things about today’s reggae genre is that it crosses so many musical and international borders. Inna Visison is a Hawaiian music ambassador and it’s so cool to see how far his musical career has taken him. He’s currently on his “Self Talk” tour in Florida after touring across California.
Jesse Royal is featured on the major tune “Crosswalks”, which shows off Inna Vision’s ability to share the mic with any of reggae’s heavy hitters. The track has Vision and Royal going back and forth on the mic and reminisce about the hard work they’ve put in on their path to music stardom.
More of the reggae rock sound is showcased in “Loving Overflow”, a love song with island vibes and a sensitive streak. Inna Vision isn’t afraid to open up and his celebration of life is strongly felt.
