It’s hard to know where to begin when it comes to writing about Mihali, because his talent is so great. In his latest album “Effection”, released by Ineffable Records, Mihali’s artistry, mastery of songwriting and soulfulness are on full display.

I first saw Mihali play a Twiddle show at the legendary San Francisco-based venue, The Fillmore, and was blown away by his talent, especially as a guitarist. He made shredding a guitar look simple and throughout “Effection” you’ll hear smooth pockets of Mihali’s talented guitar playing.

The album kicks off with “Maplewood” which is a perfect example of Mihali’s ability to blend genres. It’s a very inspiring song about life’s journey and gives us a beautiful glimpse into the singer-songwriters imagination. Mihali really puts on a master class for how to write good songs throughout the album and we love his blend of reggae, rock, folk and pop music.

The reggae groove vibes so right in “Digital Heaven” as do Mihali’s vocals. Some artists inspire the listener to use their imagination and when I listen to songs like “Digital Heaven” my mind runs wild. Mihali is an incredibly talented visual and symbolic writer.
