2023 Daily Reggae “Best Of” Awards: Reggae Rock Album Of the Year Nominees

Reggae rock’s rise continues to shred guitars around the world and we’d have to say this was another gem of a year for the release of reggae rock albums and live music. Here are five 2023 reggae rock albums that stood out to Daily Reggae!

Congratulations to the 2023 Daily Reggae “Best Of” Awards Nominees for Reggae Rock Album Of the Year!

  • Ballyhoo!: Shellshock: Shellshock tallies up fourteen explosive tracks, aimed straight at your face with a lit fuse. If you’ve ever been screwed over in any way, shape or form, Howi and the boys have you covered with a handful of new, motivating anthems that speak to that very situation. Taking the high road, reinforcing your stance and exuding confidence in the face of your wrongdoer has never sounded so good!

  • The Elovaters: Endless Summer: Every once in a while, there’s an album created that’s just full to the brim with tracks that could easily be top notch singles, every last one of them, as if it were a “greatest hits” compilation. The Elovaters have decided to drop an album that lives up to that exact description!

  • Nathan Aurora / Crossed Heart Clothing: Pop Punk Goes Reggae: The extremely talented vocalist and lead guitarist of Iya Terra, Nathan Aurora, has created a project and successfully bridged the gap, composing a compilation of some of your favorite songs from a distant past performed by a new community of artists that put their own reggae twist to each of them.

  • Passafire: Remember A Time: Smooth bass lines, picture perfect production and nine tracks that will have you singing along in no time, Passafire’s Remember A Time blends reggae, rock and pop in a beautiful way.

  • Iration: Daytrippin: Great storytelling lyrics, catchy, relatable songs and that bouncy reggae beat that demands a smile. With Daytrippin, Iration delivered one of their best albums to date.
