Fresh off his 2002 Grammy nomination for Reggae Album of the Year, Gramps Morgan’s new EP, “Deeper” is yet another reminder that Morgan is one of the best vocalists across all musicals genres. The EP highlights the artist’s unbelievable voice over six gorgeous acoustic tracks. Similar to “Positive Vibration”, these new songs blend reggae and pop with a hint of country music.

You will absolutely the beautiful drum beat in “A Moon to Remember”. I’ve mentioned before that some songs just sound like they should be in a movie soundtrack. This love song definitely fits the bill! Morgan displays so much emotion and his voice is unforgettable.

Everyone can remember those early days of romance and how over the years love grows stronger. The track “So in Love with You” brings these memories forth and Morgan is accompanied by lovely acoustic guitar playing.

In “Butterfly” you’ll be taken aback by the beauty of the piano playing, and the way Morgan passionately sings the chorus. The song is so emotional and reminds me of a time change.

Start your day by listening to Morgan’s acoustic track, “Runaway Bay”. Morgan teamed up with Johnny Reid on the EP’s production and it’s pitch perfect in every way. It would have been so cool to see Morgan sing these songs while recording at Soultrain Sound Studios in Nashville.

Morgan sings about the importance of helping others in “People Like You”. The stars align when Morgan and an acoustic guitar come together!

One of my favorite songs from “Positive Vibration”, “Wash the Tears” is also featured on the EP. The new acoustic version is one of those songs that is nearly perfect. You cannot find one thing that should be changed! That’s how good Morgan’s lyrics and vocals are. Gramps Morgan makes me proud to be a reggae fan and it’s so cool to hear his amazing ability to blend genres!
