Experience the longevity and genius of UB40 through “UB45”

Celebrate and experience the longevity and genius of UB40 through “UB45”.

The 14 track album takes you on a journey with the iconic UK reggae band that have spread the power and joy of reggae music to audiences worldwide.

The album brings you beautiful versions of the band’s hits along with recent releases all showcasing their smooth and soulful sound.

What’s so unique about UB40 is their music and vocals share the same smooth quality.

In other words, every aspect of their music is basically perfection and their 45 year long journey is so inspiring to follow!

Here are some of my favorite songs from the album:

The band’s powerful horn section leads to an irie bass line and then a jamming reggae guitar opens “Food For Thought”. This is my first time hearing this song and it’s an immediate toe tapper and head bopper that will have you humming along!

King” has an incredible tempo and irie bass line and once again the band’s horn section add a rich depth to the band’s all around sound. I love the song’s inspirational message of bringing people together and the gorgeous vocals.

The pace picks up in “Champion - Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth” featuring Gilly G and Dapz on the Map. This is an awesome pump up tune and is the perfect fit for your workout playlist!

Red Red Wine” is one of those UB40 classics that music fans across genres all connect with and love. I really like the version of the iconic track included in the album! Cheers to UB40 for the doors it’s opened for reggae around the world with this gem.

The ups and downs of love are chronicled in the jamming track, “Fool Me Once”. The riddim and bass line are so locked in and many of us can relate to the words in this song! Power on and true love will come!

Kingston Town” is the perfect track to ask your local DJ to spin if you want to get the dance floor full! The song is simple yet tells a soulful story about a quest for that perfect love.

UB40’s music carries us through the highs and lows and inspires us to reach for our dream. Congratulations to the band on 45 years and many more to come!
