Summer is in full swing, and what’s better than throwing your feet up and turning on your favorite reggae songs? Legendary reggae band Sublime’s music catalog is so deep that I recently found myself grooving to their unique reggae rock sound all afternoon long. Here are 5 Sublime songs perfect for summer. So, turn these up, and let the relaxation set in!

Gentleman’s Dub Club beautifully blend reggae, dub and hip hop in “On A Mission”. I love the UK-based band’s ability to cross between these genres. The album’s storytelling is on point and covers life’s ups and downs while emphasizing the importance only settling for positive vibes.

The time is here to get excited for the new Bob Marley & The Wailers album, “Africa Unite” refreshing Marley classics. The album due out August 4 celebrates Marley’s genius work and fuses reggae and afrobeats in fresh takes. The album will have ten tracks and feature talented artists like Tiwa Savage, Oxlade, and Sarkodie.

A new documentary celebrates the convergence of reggae and country music. Director Jay Will created the 10-minute mini-documentary that spotlights the history of the genres and is a great reminder to vibe with the jamming cross genre album, “Positive Vibrations: Country Goes Reggae”.

Feel love and island vibes with Yasmyn Andrade’s “Lovah Boy” featuring Inna Vision. From the chill riddim to Andrade’s beautiful vocals, this is one of my favorite new reggae love songs. The teaming of Andrade and Inna Vision is jamming and makes me want to travel to Hawai’i asap!

Mr Mego honors his dad with a new rendition of Buddy Jewell’s “Help Pour Out The Rain”. This is such a gorgeous song, and Mr Mego has done an incredible job bringing new energy and reggae vibes to the track.

While we all loved the original track, the remix absolutely kills it bringing in laid back island vibes and features by Slightly Stoopid and J Boog. Stay cool with Lot 49’s “San Francisco Summer” ft. Joey Calderaio. San Francisco is famous for the cities foggy summers, and I know first hand as I grew up there! I’m loving this collaboration between Lot 49 and Calderaio and the chill vibes.

Watch Iya Terra and Dub Inc’s “No Boundaries” music video. I love this powerful track’s message about the power music and reggae music has uniting people around the world!

“Forever Yours” is a beautiful love tune by Hawaiian artist Sidney Spencer. The romantic track shares peaceful island vibes and Spencer’s voice carries the passionate lyrics so nicely. The song emits so many positive messages of love, kindness and hope and is an all around great jam.

Sweden’s Angelica Mava celebrates self love and pushes away beauty standards in the important song, “Flawless”. This is my fist time listening to Mava and wow, her voice is incredible! The single released earlier this year has a super catchy riddim and great production. Daily Reggae caught up with Mava to learn more about the song’s inspiration and message.

Jam along with the lyric video of Stephen Marley’s beautiful track “Old Soul”. This is absolutely one of my favorite releases of the year, and this video has so many cool visuals taking you along Marley’s phenomenal music career.

J Boog and The Green inspire us to “Never Give Up” and to reach for our dreams. This track from the Cali Roots Riddim 2023 is very powerful and is a great reminder to put our best foot forward each day while reaching for goals.

Nine to Fyah’s “Let the Light In” is a reminder to open your heart. This single is absolutely gorgeous and is one of my favorite reggae rock tracks of the year. The song shares an important message about loving our journey, letting healing begin, and opening ourselves to new love and experiences.

Julian Marley and Antaeus’ album, “Colors Of Royal” inspire a fresh outlook on life in eight dance friendly tracks. I am absolutely loving this collaboration and the beautiful songs that Marley and Antaeus have brought to life that cross the reggae, electronic, dancehall and pop music genres

Get the party start with Common Kings’ “Celebration (One Shot)”. These reggae rockers always bring so many chill vibes, and I’m so excited to jam out to their new album, “Celebration” due out Aug. 25 via Island Empire / Mensch House Records.

New Zealand’s Canaan Ene teams with Hawai'i legend Kapena in a fresh take on “Down Under”. This is such an iconic song by Men At Work, and I’m really enjoying this new reggae style update to the jam.

Slightly Stoopid’s epic show is around the corner at Petco Park on July 16.
