Cas Haley just has it. What’s it? The ability to make any song sound amazing that is! And a special ability to morph a country-rock classic like Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishing In The Dark” into a reggae track with so much heart! The reggae refreshed version was released today by Ineffable Records, and I’m absolutely loving it!

Talented Jamaican artist Samory I has teamed up with producer Winta James in the powerful new single, “Blood in the Streets”. The song released by Overstand Entertainment and Easy Star Records pushes for a safer and more peaceful society. Samory I showcases his thoughtful lyrics and soulful voice over an inspiring riddim.

Big congrats to Shaggy, Protoje, Koffee, Sean Paul and Kabaka Pyramid for their 2023 GRAMMY Nominations for Best Reggae Album. All of the nominations are so well deserved! Roots of Creation collaborate with Arise Roots in the rocking new song, “Guiding Light”. The song starts off with one of RoC’s patented guitar solos and then goes into some irie synths. “Guiding Light” is a super mellow song about taking your time and following love as you chase your dreams.

Kyle Smith is set to kick off his “Hurry Up N Wait” tour tomorrow in Las Vegas, Nevada. The reggae rocker is legendary for his hard work mentality and his tour will also reach New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Florida and North Carolina. Smith will support The Slackers on a tour date in Austin and George Spits with Llamabeats is the opener.

“Soon Come” is a great example of EarthKry releasing some of today’s best roots reggae music. Daily Reggae caught up with EarthKry’s Phillip McFarlane to learn about the song’s inspiration and heard the Jamaica-based band wrote the single on a recent tour. The new track has a beautiful riddim and an old school reggae feel in al the best ways possible. It will absolutely brighten your day!

Elementree is a talented reggae rock musician based out of Cincinnati, Ohio and he recently released  “Misinformer” a new song with a powerful message about being wary of misleading media reports. 

“Someone Else” is another proof point in Sierra Lane’s rising star power. The new single, released by LAW Records, is about the ups and downs of love and is a near perfect reggae rock track with pop music elements. Sierra is a talented Florida based singer-songwriter and guitarist, and if you have not heard her name yet, it won’t be long until you see her rocking stages in your hometown!

The Big Island’s Reggae on the Runway features an amazing lineup including The Green and Anuhea. The one day festival takes place on November 19th and tickets are still available. Skip Marley’s “Change (The Tony Kelly Remix)” featuring Beenie Man is a vibe! It’s always fun when one of your favorite artists puts a new spin on a fan favorite. “Change” is one of my favorite Skip Marley’s songs and inspires a vision of new energy in life. I love the pairing of Skip Marley and Beenie Man with the new electric verse!

“Timeline” a single released by Jamaica’s Tessellated featuring Runkus has one of the coolest riddims of 2022. The beat starts slow and then the energy picks up. The song brings together reggae, dancehall, hip hop with a hint of R&B and it’s a vibe.

This year marks the 12th California Roots Music & Art Festival, and if you haven’t yet attended Cali Roots, you have to check it out! Cali Roots is one of the best music festival experiences out there and this year’s lineup is looking so rad!

The Green have teamed up with Allen Stone in a gorgeous “Coming Home” Remix. The single was released by Ineffable Records / Easy Star Records. The original song is the fifth track on The Green’s amazing 2021 album, “Brand New Eyes”. Teaming up with Stone brings the tune a new feel and the vocals are phenomenal.

Joey Calderaio and his rising band take us on a beautiful journey in the new album, “Chasing Constellations” released today.
