Before hearing the album I had not previously had the chance to listen to the Fall River, Massachusetts-based but was immediately struck by Concrete Beach’s positive energy, impressive musicianship and quality songwriting.

Buffalo-based ska fusion band Part-Time Genius released an awesome new EP titled Ducky that has us smiling with its breezy tunes and vibey horn lines. The New York group is able to combine their favorite genres of ska, funk, reggae, and rock tastefully and with a groove that reminds of other East Coast greats like Dispatch and O.A.R.
