“Run It Back” With Seven Suns for Summer’s last Song of the Week. The Hawaiian band ponders moving on or giving past relationships one more try, which we found fitting to close out summer over the Labor Day holiday weekend. The track is fun, with beautiful melodies and a hint of melancholy, all wrapped in their island/reggae/country sound.
Song of the Week: Nathan Aurora moves forward with “No Love Lost”
Former Iya Terra frontman, Nathan Aurora and his new project Aurorawave are pioneering a new reggae rock meets heavy metal sound, and the end result is magical! While the band has been building buzz by slowly releasing singles, the debut (and self-titled) album officially dropped this Friday.

This week’s Daily Reggae Song of the Week is “Foolish Games (Dub Mix)” by Joey Calderaio featuring Nathan Aurora! This was one our favorite songs off Calderaio’s rocking “Chasing Constellations” album, and it’s super cool to hear this dub take.
Song of the Week: ‘Winding Roads’ by Stephen Marley, Jack Johnson and Bob Weir
‘Winding Roads’ is a beautiful, bluesy song, reflecting on life’s journey. The all star collaboration of Stephen Marley, Jack Johnson, and Bob Weir did not disappoint. The retrospective track features all three artists trading lines and guitars licks throughout the entire song.

Matisyahu’s latest track ‘Ripples’ is the Daily Reggae Song of the Week. A short, sweet track reflecting on the impact our lives and actions have through time, the song feels particularly timely being released on the fall equinox. In a post Micah Pueschel says "Last Night is an ode to the classic lover’s rock R&B songs that we grew up listening to. We have always been fans of Maxi Priest and consider him one of the best vocalists of all time. So when we wrote “Last Night” it was always intended for a collaboration with him. Song of the Week: Queen Majesty by Common Kings feat. Sammy Johnson and The Green
In honor of Common Kings releasing “Celebration”, this edition of Song of the Week is Queen Majesty by Common Kings feat. Sammy Johnson and The Green. The cover of the classic track written by Dennis Brown and Curtis Mayfield has been floating around for a few years, but the Common Kings version it is so good it deserved a spot on a full length album.

While we all loved the original track, the remix absolutely kills it bringing in laid back island vibes and features by Slightly Stoopid and J Boog. There’s few releases I look forward to more than DENM and Landon McNamara. The first track from the EP, “Wild Trip” was chosen as one of the best tracks of 2022! The full EP is finally out and Slum Beach Posse Vol. 1 does not disappoint.
