Start your week by jamming to Roots of Creation’s new album, Dub Free or Die, Vol. 1
A new week is here and there is no better way to get it started than by listening to new music. In their latest album, Roots of Creation connects reggae, jam, and dub music in the beautiful Dub Free or Die, Vol 1. Roots of Creation shreds with funky guitar riffs, jamming bass lines, and dub mixes that have us moving our heads even before our first cup of coffee. The album, which is almost all instrumental, features rocking singles including Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes reggae/rock cover) ft. Hayley Jane, Mammoth and Arabia ft. Mihali (of Twiddle), and Light it Up ft. Mighty Mystic.
In a release sent to Dailyreggae.com frontman, Brett Wilson said, “Dub Free or Die Vol. 1 is all about focusing on our instrumental songwriting. It was created for our diehard fans who travel to multiple shows a year, listen to bootlegs, pay attention to setlists and always score the latest merch drops. We are extremely blessed to have our tribe of ‘RoC family’ members to be there to support us through these crazy uncertain times and let us experiment, create and have a blast. These compositions tend to lend themselves to progressive rock, improvisation, soundscapes, rapid genre switches, and Dub Reggae EFX.”
It is super cool to see all of the band’s fan support and how they showed their support through the album’s Kickstarter campaign funding. Roots of Creation released the album through its label: Bombshelter Records.
