As you go about your week, soak in the sun and good vibes by jamming to “When I See You Smile” by Headshine. I’m really vibing to this fun and catchy tune by the Southern California-based reggae band. Daily Reggae caught up with Headshine’s Ras to learn about the song’s inspiration and production.

“I wrote the lyrics and music for “When I See You Smile” during the pandemic. Our band was not allowed to perform shows for almost 2 years and the lyrics were about how hopefully one day we would be able to see our friends, family and fans smiling again without wearing face masks.”

Ras continued, “Thankful to 17th Street Recording and Lewis Richards for producing the recording and Zeb for playing drums on our song with Nick Sabia singing harmony’s. Headshine was grateful to sing & meet thousands of nice people this summer on our tour and we are now in the studio recording new music to bring more hope to our country and world.”

When I See You Smile” by Headshine is the Daily Reggae Song of the Day.
