Rolling Stone recently published a must-read article for any reggae fan!

The article titled, “25 Riddims That Have Defined Jamaican Music” was written by Patricia Meschino and does an incredible job diving into the history of reggae, and detailing the intricacies of reggae riddims released over the decades!

The list is in chronological order starting with Real Rock (1967) and ending with none other than the grammy nominated Cali Roots Riddim 23 produced by Collie Buddz and J-Vibe!

Other favorites from the list are Stalag; Diwali; Coolie Dance; and Rootsman.

“Bam Bam” by Sister Nancy, “Get Busy” by Sean Paul, “Pull Up” by Mr. Vegas, and “Here Comes Trouble” by Chronixx are all hits that were created using riddims.

Great job Rolling Stone and Patricia!
