Recording at Small World Recording Studio in Kingston, Jamaica, Junior Culture laid down his version of Rick Astley’s hit, Never Gonna Give You Up. Junior Culture’s reggae version, Never Gonna is catchy and brings a new sound and identity to the song.

According to a release sent to Dailyreggae.com, “The idea come about when Junior Culture was in Europe 2020 in the heights of the Covid 19 pandemic. Where he saw people going crazy losing their jobs, party canceling. People giving up an each other's. Then he saw a guy post this song saying he not giving up an his girl. Then he says if he recreated this song to reggae in his way then use his own lyrics after singing Rick Astley « never gonna give u up » 4 bars he can make a difference. And so he did and now it has been well received. Thanks to you Rick Astley.”
