Inside the Mind and Nick Sefakis team in No Place - Dub Remix and help raise awareness for the homeless community
Inside the Mind and Nick Sefakis have teamed up in No Place - Dub Remix and are giving back by helping raise awareness for the homeless community. Music helps bring people together and makes us aware of new issues that we can get involved in. Dailyreggae.com caught up with Darrin Williams from Inside the Mind to learn about the song’s inspiration, and the amazing video that Darrin produced.
“I originally wrote the song about a friend going through tough times living in his car, and I did produce a video telling that story. But after Nick said he was down, I reimagined the lyrics a step further and dove into homelessness in this country and some things people overlook. So I shot and produced an entirely different video to go with it and I think the words are still spot on for the subject matter. I even had a huge drive to help the homeless and over the winter to really dive into the local struggles and we provided clothes and supplies for hundreds of people in need in Northern Colorado.”
We love the reimagined song, the important topic it covers, and the reggae riddim. No Place makes us feel at ease and gives hope.
