Kes starts summer early with “Man With No Door”
What generally makes a reggae album great is the ability to touch multiple styles without overdoing it. Dancehall, (Honey Comb feat Busy Signal & Mood alongside Shaggy) Afrobeats (It’s Enough & Jolene) and of course Carnival appropriate Soca (Miracle) are all done marvelously by this crew. So much so that I can’t remember when I have been so hooked by a group upon a first listen. Man With a Door in short is literally a perfect album.
Album Review: Green Lion Crew’s star-studded “Riddim Full of Culture” is an impressive collection of top notch tracks
Green Lion Crew’s star-studded “Riddim Full of Culture” is an impressive collection of top notch tracks featuring many of reggae’s brightest stars! The album has a mix of solo tracks along with riddims where two artists will put their unique spins creating separate songs. Green Lion Crew made up of Zeke Stern and Dana Knowles definitely brought production heat and made me a big fan of their work!
Album Review: Turning obstacles into opportunity, Rebelution release stellar seventh studio album "In the Moment"
As the pandemic hit, the benefit and versatility of the digital music era became apparent to everyone in the music industry, as well as fans of reggae music with the release of Rebelution's stellar seventh studio album "In the Moment". Written and created in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, this album would not exist if it weren't for the ability for the members of Rebelution, all residing in different locations, to record at home and send audio files back and forth to bring these songs to fruition.
