Piper Street Sound lands a fresh flurry of combos with "Black Eyed Dub"

Released on April 5th, 2024, "Black Eyed Dub" by Piper Street Sound, also known as Matt Mansfield, in collaboration with Andy Bassford, stands as a creative resurgence in the dub genre.

This remix EP delves deep into Mansfield's Southern roots and seamlessly integrates them with reggae's rhythmic essence.

The EP's standout remixes bring unique beats to the forefront: Victor Rice rejuvenates "Black Eyed Peace," adding layers of fresh complexity to this upbeat riddim. Naram refines "Icemilk'' with steady rhythmic precision and depth, highlighting the track’s deep bass.

Mad Professor embarks on an experimental sonic journey with "A Shadow in August," pushing the track into new dubby realms. Piper Street Sound closes the EP with a self-remix of "Stonesteady," showcasing Mansfield's energetic style and flair.

"Black Eyed Dub'' revists and freshens up Mansfield’s 2021 release, also reaffirming his philosophical musings on pain, peace, and regional identity. The vinyl is rumoured to ward off evil spirits, so would be a great addition to a collection! In essence, "Black Eyed Dub" is a brief yet energising EP.
