The innovative intersection of reggae, rock and electronic music

Graphic for the Unified Highway Album Review

Super duo Unified Highway, made of Rebelution frontman Eric Rachmany and top tier producer Amp Live, continue their incredible run and collaboration bringing us the innovative intersection of reggae, rock and electronic music in the album, “Invisible Route”.

The 15 track LP showcases each artist’s amazing talent while merging their genres in a fresh sound that will inspire fans to dream and let loose over the grooving jams.

A great example of the cross genre fun is “Pay No Mind” with Rebelution. At first listen the song sounds like a familiar Rebelution tune but when you dig deeper you are immersed in an intricate musical journey riding riddims up and down sonic waves.

The energy is at an all time high and Rachmany’s stellar vocals and guitar work make this a must add to your playlist.

Rachmany ponders the future and major changes that society has been facing in “Artificial Insanity”, a super thoughtful song asking us to pause and stand up for what we believe in vs. just accepting what’s in front of us.

Reggae fans will absolutely love the track, “Ready For You” featuring New Kingston’s Suckarie and Lion D. The song has such a rad sound and riddim. I love its message of unifying through coming together with like minded people who value the same things. Suckarie laid down an amazing hook and Lion D’s verse is on point.

Push negativity away with “Invisible Route” featuring Deuce Eclipse. This is one of the album’s stand out tracks and listeners will feel the song’s message to only settle for positivity.

“The Curse” with The Grouch and Eligh makes a big imprint on the album and I’m loving the hip hop!

The song brings some pause within the journey and caution to continue finding balance in life. In other words, find the route that is right for you instead of forcing anything.

Finding inner peace and love is so important and “Inner Being” featuring Kat Hall is a meditative song that all reggae fans will love and connect with on first listen! Rachmany and Hall’s vocals are incredible!

Take a deep breath and and feel a sense of calm that in time everything will be fine with the track “In Due Time” featuring hip hop artist, Mississippi the Truth.

From the intricate beat, flows, reggae beat, horns and dub elements, this is a one of a kind track!

To me Invisible Route translates to finding a way to travel that others don’t see. It means that it’s ok to journey the way you want, and with the people who are important in your life.

Listen to “Weightless” with Amy Intanza and you’ll be transported to a different universe. A place of acceptance and belonging.

With “Flash of Brilliance”, Rachmany shows yet another glimpse that he’s one of music’s best songwriters today. The healing song includes a powerful guitar solo while preaching an important message of resilience.

Unified Highway’s “Invisible Route” reminds us to enjoy the journey - our unique and incredible journey - that we can define and thrive in!
