Tunnel Vision perfectly blend reggae and punk rock in the terrific new album “Baja Bound” released by LAW Records. If you’re looking for some good vibes, rocking guitars and to day dream across the border to beautiful Mexican beaches, turn this album up!

One of the many things I love about the album is Tunnel Vision’s amazing energy and the band’s ability to make their recording sound like you’re at a live set. This rocking album kicks off with the title track “Baja Bound” and profiles the shredding guitar and vocals of Hayden Hanson. The song has such a mellow vibe and the horns, smooth keys and irie bass line by Jacob Hernandez make it a memorable song and the perfect way to start the album.

The punk rock vibes are super irie in “Surf in Hell”. The song is a total head banger and along with the rocking guitar riffs, Ed “Smokey” Beach totally destroys it on the drums! If you’re heading to the beach or wherever your happy place may be, turn this one up!

Tunnel Vision slows down the rhythm and Matt Appleton’s sax steals the show in “One Day at a Time”.  Hanson carries the song and shares a positive message to approach life one day at a time. That’s definitely something we all have to be reminded of!

Back to the punk rock mosh pit vibes, Tunnel Vision goes hard in “The Looking Glass”. I love hearing the band’s ability to go from a laid back reggae track to an upbeat rock anthem and they do this remarkably well throughout their “Baja Bound” album.

Billy Kottage throws down smooth keys throughout the album, and I especially love his tempos in “Big Bang”. Tunnel Vision plays reggae style verses and a more punk rock chorus in this jam. They make the smooth transitions sound so easy, even when they are far from that.

Sea Dreamin’” is another perfect track on this album that portrays Tunnel Vision’s immense talent and the band’s all around fun energy. This is exactly the type of song I’d love to hear Tunnel Vision play during a live set!

So, if you’re looking to groove to some reggae with some attitude, take Tunnel Vision’s new album for a spin!
