The mystic Aaron Borowitz presents timeless vibes with feel-good new album Father Time

Aaron Borowitz's first solo album, Father Time, clocks in as a 37-minute and 37-second where harmonic positivity seamlessly entwines with the spirit of reggae.

Aaron Borowitz’s 11-track album incorporates a dose of majestic mushroom mysticism, accompanied by a talented batch of features. Father Time beckons listeners to embrace the current moment, radiate kindness, and cultivate unity.

I’m a fan of the album cover, a fusion of fungi and time, that stands out as a visual prelude to the enchanting realms within.

In the inaugural track of the album, titled "Father Time", which shares the name of the album, presents a chilled funky dub soundscape that flows throughout the album, setting the tempo.

The ethereal quality of the vocals serves as a sonic metaphor, delicately highlighting the essence of time meandering and slipping away, that sets the atmosphere of the album.

A personal favourite tune of mine, has to be, “Right Foot” feat. Kina King and Blaine Dillinger. I love the rhythmic chorus, driven by the crisp acoustic guitar melodies intertwined with the rich tones of the trumpet and soul filled vocals. It's a great song to pass the time walking in sunshine streets without a care in the world, as the lyrics suggest, “Let’s start it off on the right foot, put your best foot forward, nah worry how we might look, just walk with your head up high.” With “Right Foot”s message of self-assurance and self-belief, whenever I hear this feel-good song I have a spring in my step or extra pep in my pedal as I cycle around the city.

I am consistently astounded how the greater consciousness intricately weaves certain perspectives and ideas into the collective human experience. For me this cosmic synchronicity is evident in the track "Illusion Of Freedom" featuring Jason J, a tune that feels as if it has sprung from the depths of my own thoughts. As the insightful lyrics resonate so deeply with me. It comforts me to know that other minds share and voice these thoughts.

In my view, ''Illusion Of Freedom'' stands out as the lyrically most impactful song on “Father Time”, spreading the word enlightening the listener to the illusion of freedom we all suffer as a species. "Illusion Of Freedom” most definitely merits a place on the must-listen list, offering more than just musical gratification, it provides a pathway to contemplation of ourselves and an elevated awareness of the intricacies that shape our perception of freedom as the cosmic beings we are.

Overall "Father Time" is a fun and insightful listen, that invites listeners to savour the present and embrace inity. With its varied mix of tracks, each contributing to the soundscape of this debut solo album from Aaron Borowitz. Father Time combines harmonic riddims and mystical lyrics, resulting in a memorable experience that lingers long after the final track.
