Based in The Netherlands, singer-songwriter Gus Walker shares a message of hope while painting a beautiful picture in the fantastic new album, “Pink Skies”.

You’re immediately brought into Walker’s world and appreciate his reggae music production, guitar and skills as an MC with an almost hip hop flow.

These are all intricacies that I appreciate when listening to the album’s thoughtful opening track, “Give You The Moon”, which sets a tone for album reflecting on the good things to come and support that is on its way.

The horns and dub effects in “Come Find Me” are super irie and Walker shows off his singing in the tracks hook. More of Walker’s direct and inspiring style is felt in this song with an important message of being stronger together.

Walker’s skills as a double threat vocalist / MC are on full display in “Make It Happen” and sends an important reminder to stick to your beliefs while feeling comfortable staying outside your comfort zone. The tracks’ beat goes super hard.

More of a laid back acoustic guitar vibe is felt in “Kick It Back” - an honest reflection of balancing all our challenges and finding ways to slow down.

Gazing” is one of the album’s stand out songs and really shows off Walker’s amazing skill as a songwriter and composer of music that is both reflective and inspiring. The song dives into why it’s crucial to be present, to think about the bigger picture and to welcome others with an open mind / arms.

The hip hop style returns in “Nothing To Hide” - another example of Walker’s versatility as an artist.

Finding your way in this complicated world is no easy task and it’s profiled in “Gotta Get It” - a tribute to carefully choosing the goals that you reach for.

The album wraps with the album’s title track and paints a picture about the world’s challenges while communicating a reminder to keep our faith. Walker sends a reminder to find ways to make the world a better place while appreciating what we do have.
