Morgan Heritage’s new 21 song album, “The Homeland”, is a magnificent reggae music masterpiece.

Throughout the album, you will smile, feel love and be taken by the band’s talent as storytellers.

I decided to pick six of my favorite songs to reflect on in this review, but make sure to take to the time to dive into the album even deeper.

Peetah Morgan, Gramps Morgan, and Mr. Mojo Morgan all shine in the album and it’s so cool how they collaborated with incredible African and Caribbean artists throughout. This is the first Morgan Heritage album since the passing of their father, Denroy Morgan, last year, and they no doubt made him so proud in this new classic.

Take the song “Positive”, a wonderful song about prioritizing a positive mind over all else. Morgan Heritage partners with Shaggy, and Beenie Man and the song is so uplifting! Each of the artists’ vocals complements the beautiful drum pattern and I can’t wait to hear this song in a movie sound track soon, because its feel good sound has so much big screen potential!

U Got To See (The World)” shares a brilliant message about the impact travel and taking in new culture has on us. Heritage collabs with S’Villa and Eddy Kenzo and in this gorgeous stand out track.

Morgan Heritage writes beautiful love songs and “Heaven” featuring Krissy Yamagucci, and Fayross is a song that dance floors around the world need to turn up! Your significant other will love this track and it’s feel.  The vocals and singing in Morgan Heritage’s “Wacha Nikupende”, which features Kenya’s Otile Brown, is one of the most beautifully arranged songs I’ve heard this year. I love the guitar and the vocals are out of this world!

As a new parent, I really connect with the song, “They Gonna Be Alright”, a powerful jam about raising your children and trusting in their growth. Morgan Heritage helps instill confidence in their listeners lives and empowers fans to stay confident and to enjoy every step of the process.

Morgan Heritage honors Denroy Morgan in “I Will Never Forget” and the song will touch your heart and inspire joy even in tough times. Priel, Raiah, Esh Morgan, and Jemere Morgan join in this Morgan Heritage track and make it yet another album standout.

“The Homeland” is a brilliant album that all music fans will cherish and enjoy. Morgan Heritage is one of the best reggae bands in the world and this magnificent album deserves worldwide recognition.
