Album Review: “M.O.A.M (Man On a Mission)” by Hezron brilliantly brings perspective to life’s journey

Jamaican artist Hezron recently released his latest album, “M.O.A.M (Man On a Mission)” and his talent blew me away! Take the album’s title track, “Man On a Mission”, as an example. You’ll totally feel Hezron’s passion, and vibe to his one of a kind voice.

I love the instrumentation in the love song “Tik Tok I’m Coming”, which has such a catchy hook, and romantic lyrics. You really hear Hezron’s ability to own any reggae, pop or R&B track.

The pace slows down in “Blame It on The Wine”, a song any wine drinker can relate to! I love Hezron’s voice control and how he is able to turn up the vibe on this track’s hook.

Dean Fraser is such a legend and his sax takes the songs “Taxi Driver” and “Stronger in Love” to new heights. These are definitely some of my favorites on the album. I hope they’ll consider making a full album together! Finding love is often a big part of our journey and you can feel Hezron’s love mission in this stand out song.

Island vibes are strongly felt in “Kuja Nyumbani (I Want to Go home)”, a soulful song and deep song about the windy road back home.

Sometimes we need an extra push to find happiness. An extra emphasis in our life can be needed and Hezron inspires us to keep on in “Smile Today”. This is another song that beautifully highlights this album’s amazing instrumentation.

As someone who recently lost my grandfather, I really connected with “Holding On (Grandpa’s Chair)”. Hezron is a visual songwriter and I really appreciate his ability to bring memories to life through music.

Hezron thinks about the next generation in the warm song “Save the Children” that will have you think about your family and inspiring youth to grow and make their dreams come true.

As an artist and human, you have to keep at your goals. Their are ups and downs and Hezron showcases this mission in “Resilience”.

I often find an amazing album takes you through many emotions and Hezron certainly achieves this in “M.O.A.M (Man On a Mission)”. Hezron gracefully honors his life journey (aka mission) and listening to the album will inspire yours too.
