Kingston, Jamaica-based artist Shavarr recently released a powerful song titled, “It’s Gonna Be Ok”. The song has some beautiful instrumentation and shares an imortant message to keep our faith. Daily Reggae caught up with Shavarr to learn about the song’s message.

Virginia-based reggae rockers, Righteous Roots reflect on one last chance in “One More (Oh Girl)”. The single released by River City Reggae has a nice flow, and frontman Tom Leighton delivers a passionate plea for love in this catchy tune.

Push away negativity with the powerful song, “Karma” by Danitsa. The reggae pop track is beautiful and highlights Danita’s unbelievable voice! I am so impressed by her unique style of singing and could listen to this single’s hook all day long!

Rock dream team, Callisto has formed made up of shredders from bands like Ballyhoo! and Bumpin Uglies. The band dropped its first single, “This Is Awkward” today and plans to drop a full album in April. Callisto is expanding from its reggae roots by infusing punk and grunge into a new sound that we’re excited to hear more of this year!

Iration debut their “New Style” in latest single. With booming riddims and big guitar solos, Iration embrace their early reggae rock roots and promise more to come in their next chapter.

Michael Mendez puts a heartfelt reggae spin on Robbie Williams classic, “Angels”. Mendez pays a wonderful tribute to the song, and it is fun hearing the new reggae rendition!

Kyle Smith heads into rocking Winter and Spring shows with Iya Terra, The Movement and Bumpin Uglies. It’s been so fun watching Smith’s rise over the last few years. He’s playing huge shows from Cali Vibes to Cali Roots, and his hard work and hustle playing shows around the country year round is earning him a well deserved following.

Southern California multi-instrumentalist, Justin Vidal celebrates love in the upbeat single, “When I’m With You, Girl”. Vidal’s energy and vibe is always contagious, and I always feel super happy when I’m listening to his music. Also, I’m always super impressed by Vidal’s smooth musicianship and production.

The time is here to get tickets to Tropidelic’s “Til The Wheels Fall Off” Tour with The Movement! Tropidelic’s headline tour starts this March. They’ll share some dates with The Movement and an east coast leg with Sun-Dried Vibes. These are going to be some rad gigs!

King Cruff unites reggae, hip hop and dancehall in the conscious track, “Samurai Chop”. The talented Toronto-based artist was released by Tuff Gong Collective and Universal Music Canada and I love Cruff’s passionate flow and thoughtful lyrics.

Conkarah and Rosie Delmah team in a gorgeous “Easy On Me” Adele cover! This is one of Adele’s most powerful love songs yet, and it’s super fun hearing Conkarah and Delmah put a reggae spin on the track.

Get ‘em Wet deliver summer vibes early by teaming with Bumpin Uglies in “Hang Loose”. This is the first time I’m listening to the York, Pennsylvania-rockers, and I’m totally vibing to this laid back track.

Michael Franti & Spearhead’s “BIG BIG LOVE 2023 TOUR” will feature reggae rockers including SOJA and Fortunate Youth on legs of the national tour! Michael Franti always brings BIG energy, so these shows are going to be so much fun!

The power of music is strongly felt in Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad’s new single “Chants” featuring Clinton Fearon. The gorgeous song gives a nice taste of what’s ahead in the band’s “Love In Time” album to be released this April by Easy Star Records.

Congrats to Kabaka Pyramid for “The Kalling” taking home the 2023 GRAMMY for “Best Reggae Album”. This album is so amazing and I’m thrilled that Kabaka is receiving this well deserved recognition for his music!
